I really liked your niche today, when you spoke about photographing Kent Island as more of an empty place. I think my favourites are the first and second ones that you posted on here, mostly because of the focal point. I am particularly drawn to the second one because of how the ground and the clouds seem to be in dialogue with the direction that they are being blown into.

When you talked more about being in an empty space and feeling monumental, I thought the first photograph exemplified that point. This is mostly because of how the wooden poles are framed and the way it looks like someone had been there a long time ago and left it standing for years and years on end. Yup.

Colin,
I think my favorite 2 are the ones of the trees. I love the shapes you create with the trees, and they help to frame out the pictures. I especially like how in the 4th picture with the tre silhouettes how the tallest tree and the cloud on the left seem to almost touch. It's a direct connection between earth and sky that is amazing.
You're second picture reminds me very strongly of the movies 300 and Gladiator. It looks like those scenes where the brave warrior is off to fight the battle and leaves their beloveds walking in tall grasses with a beautiful sky overhead. I'm not saying this is a bad thing, I'm actually really happy you managed to replicate it (even if you didn't intend to).
